This red wine sangria, or sangria of any kind, is one of those drinks that is best enjoyed with friends. You can also make a pitcher ahead of time and let all the flavors blend together.

If you have any leftovers, which is highly unlikely, this sangria will stay fresh in the refrigerator for 3 or 4 days.

You can also use white wine if your prefer, easily changing this out to a white sangria and go with a lighter brandy, like peach.

Use the ratio of 1 bottle of wine, 1/2 cup of brandy and 2 cups of Sprite as your base sangria recipe, with your favorite flavors, and just add your fruits.

Ingredients Needed For Red Wine Sangria

  • 1 Bottle Red Wine (I used Cabernet Sauvignon)
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 2 cups Sprite
  • 1 orange
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 lime
  • 12 raspberries
  • 8 strawberries
  • Ice

Some of the common ingredients found in sangria are:

  • Fruit-sliced oranges, peaches, apples, pears, raspberries, strawberries and more.
  • Brandy, fruit schnapps or cognac.
  • Sparkling water or lemon-lime soda.
  • Simple syrup, honey, agave nectar or sugar.
  • Fruit juice, such as orange or apple.
