How To Make Cinnamon Infused Whiskey With Red Hots

February 14, 2020

Read on to see how easy it is to make your own cinnamon infused whiskey using red hots.

Hello and welcome to the launch of Our Crafty Cocktails.

My name is Michelle and I’ve been blogging for five years at Our Crafty Mom.

While that blog began as a craft and DIY blog, it has evolved over the years to also include easy recipes and cocktails.

I’ve really enjoyed creating and sharing cocktails their and they’ve been pretty popular.

So I thought I would continue to explore craft cocktails on a dedicated blog.

I’m thrilled to begin this new adventure and I hope you will enjoy it as well.

My sister and I were on a Fireball kick for a while. Then we discovered Jack Daniel’s Fire and we were onto something!

When I was thinking about a Valentine’s Day cocktail, I knew I wanted to make something with Jack Daniel’s.

While browsing Pinterest, I saw cinnamon infused whiskey and decided to give it a try.

Instead of using cinnamon sticks, I picked up a bag of red hots.

I’ve made candy cane infused vodka before and I knew the whiskey would turn red, making it a perfect Valentine’s Day shot.

Here is what you need to make your own DIY Fireball:

You guys have to try this! It has such a smooth cinnamon flavor and the color is a brilliant red.

I found the smaller glass bottle at the dollar store.

This is perfect served as a shot, but can also be used in cocktails, like a fireball margarita.

It would also make great gifts with a little gift tag. I’ll definitely be making more infused whiskey.

I’d love to hear if you give this recipe a try.

If you do, leave me a comment below and let me know what you think.

Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!

How Long Does It Take For Cinnamon Infused Whiskey?

It should only take 24 hours for the red hots to infuse into the whiskey, but you can definitely let it infuse longer. Most whiskeys infuse within 3-4 days.

What Is The Best Whiskey For Infusions?

I definitely recommend using a high-proof whiskey. It will make a difference with how the alcohol infuses and also how it tastes.

How Long Will Cinnamon Infused Whiskey Last?

It’s booze, so it really doesn’t go bad. Just be sure to store it properly.
